Experience the anniversary of the Cologne Marathon

Dear friends of the RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne,
19 years of marathon lie behind us. For this year’s anniversary we would like to invite you to participate in the race on October 2, 2016 and/or report on it.
With a free slot for you as a journalist, we want to enable you to experience 20 years of the RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne
and to share your impressions.

20th anniversary
For this year’s RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne participants may look forward to facing multiple specials such as the Saucony Kinvara running shoe, a kölsch beer glas and a new backpack instead of a runners’ race packet.
Promising registration figures
We already recorded pleasant numbers of registration:
5,300 runners registered for the marathon distance –
about 1,000 more than last year.
By now, 10,546 people applied for our half marathon, facing the distance of 21.0975 km. Therefore, we expect the maximum number of participants to be reached.
Overall 18,136 athletes already enrolled for this year’s competitions.
