Ahl Schluffe

New for old: “Ahl Schluffe“ (old shoe) campaign!

We will collect used running shoes: Should you think of buying new running shoes soon or even on the occasion of our marathon then the “Ahl schluffe“ (= old shoe) campaign can be interesting for you:

Just hand in your used, but still well preserved shoes at the Ahl Schluffe booth at our Running.EXPO, and you will receive a voucher for the purchase of a new pair – optionally for Weingarten with 20% off for shoes, redeemable at the Running.EXPO or in the store at Friesenplatz, OR for a € 10 voucher for Bunert – der Kölner Laufladen, redeemable in the store at Aachener Straße.

“Ahl Schluffe“ is a charity campaign for collecting and sending old shoes to those in need in Morocco and refugees in Germany.
In case someone will buy a new pair of shoes the earning will be donated for the “RTL donation marathon” to support children.

“Running for Cologne” charity project for the donation mat

With the „Running for Cologne“ charity project up to five clubs have the possibility to present their initiatives within the framework of the RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne on October 13, 2019 and to share the receipts of the donation mat.

Last year a total of € 15,000 were donated. For sure it is some hard work as the club members are to convince the runners at Aachener Weiher with creative ideas to cross the donation mat.

We are searching for institutions that use sport as a combining element for integration and inclusion and provide fun for kids and teenagers.

For this year, we selected Rheinflanke’s “Project HOPE” and Rugby Sport Verein Köln’s “Rugby United” campaign supporting kids and youngsters with diminished access to education and formation as well as kids from refugee families.

For more information on the initiatives please click here (however in German 🇩🇪 only).
